Lesson Learned the Hard Way..!

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

I have arrived back home from the gruelling US Tour Qualifying school after missing by 1 shot..or officailly 2 shots. I failed to notice a mistake my marker had made on my scorecard and signed my card for one shot higher than I scored that day. Thus eliminating any hopes I held of progressing to the next stage while I waited anxioulsy for the remaining players to finish. I knew the after my elementary mistake of not double checking my score card it was too late and that my hopes where squashed. Needless to say I instantly felt ill and saw all the hard work and practice and money I invested all year for this moment go down the drain with a simple error.. I have no one to blame but myself. Thus Lesson Learned the Hard way.

Home now with a new path to finish the year out playing well in the Aussie summer of events. 5 in total, including Australian Masters-PGA and Open.I am sure winning one of these will help wash away the pain I feeling at the moment.

Lesson for you golfers out there. Always double check your score card!!

Miami Florida-1st stage USA Q school

Saturday, October 18th, 2008

I am back in the states after some solid preparation and time at home with wife and family.

I am enjoying my time so far here in Miami, staying downtown in this awesome city. I am playing a great golf course which is a on a small island surrounded by the ocean and-mangroves-crocodiles-iguanas and other wildlife for the q school assignment next week. Providing I stay away from the numerous wildlife on display , my game is ready and I am looking forward to putting in my best efforts to qualify and pass 1st stage.

until next week, wish me luck.
